PCIe vs NVMe


hi all,

i've been pc guy since 1984, i'm planning switch mac later fall or perhaps next spring, depending on when mbp updated skylake, , i'm trying figure out apple specs. perhaps can help.

know, current macbook pro uses "pcie-based flash storage" whereas new macbook uses new nvme standard access ssd. nvme faster, or say. have numbers show how faster? , how fast data transfer current pcie standard in macs?

example, seven-year-old homebuilt pc uses ahci access ssds , tops out 500 mbps due ahci bottleneck. ssd faster that, ahci interface holds back. nvme coming online in pc world , i've read transfer data @ 2 gbps faster ssd , removes bottleneck. way cool! i'm confident pcie in mac faster ahci in pc, how faster? numbers? , how fast nvme when reaches macbook pro?

many in advance information or explanations.

don't know nvme, have read it. know new mid-2015 rmbp 15' 2.5 ghz quad core 512gb ssd blazing fast...

good morning world, ive had laptop week , thing has been absolute please , have loves every minute of week new beauty. Find my Friends
