Excel 2016 Accounting Format for Negative Numbers

in excel:mac 2011 , excel 2013 windows, default format negative numbers when using accounting format use parenthesis: $(300). well, in excel 2016 default format use negative sign: -$300. not acceptable.

contacted microsoft support , said "we have support complex issues excel" , gave me link pay few hundred dollars support call , ended chat. really? office 365 subscriber , treat me that?

anyway. know way change it?
