MBP Early 2011 upgrade & Wait or new rMB or rMBP

hello , afternoon everyone!

in dilemma (a great problem have i'm guessing although frustrating lol)

have 2011 macbook pro 15'

processor - 2 ghz inter core i7
ram - 4gb 1333mhz ddr3 ram
storage - 500gb sata disk (217 used)
graphics - intel hd graphics 3000 384 mb
system - running 10.10.3

6 days ago purchased 1599$ retina macbook 12'

processor - 1.2 ghz core m processor (turbo boost 2.6 ghz)
ram - 8gb 1600mhz lpddr3 memory
storage - 512 gb pcie storage
graphics - intel hd graphics 5300
system - 10.10.5

sp dilemma after reading many threads abut upcoming rmbp's , rmb's skylake , new design many rmbp's want see if thinks if should upgrade 15' make usable or stick rmb purchased seeing still have 8 days decide if id keep or not.

now, problem mentioned above, 15' 2011 mbp have so slow unbearable , know because old , has 4gb of ram , old hard drive half full. figured opinions here seeing macrumors , forums here have never failed me make correct smart decision.

choosing between rmb , 13' rmbp because absolutely want retina after seeing new rmb screen 6 days 2011 mbp 15' screen looks 50's , hard @ though sacrifice using if smart thing wait.

want know if can direct me how upgrade 15' mbp , make run fast can make run cost possible seeing ill upgrading in few months anyways if decide wait new round of machines. don't care on laptop , can external hard drive , delete on well. don't think doing thing @ point. absolutely needs upgrades.

if new rmbp redesigned , skyline helps 10% , little more portable wait if, , if, possible make 2011 mbp fast enough keep me going. don't know use upgrade or how if pointed in right direction others have done , can stand products gladly on own , buy new hardware it.

uses not heavy photo or video editing have little power because use 2 business inventory , invoiced on quickbooks , ay start using filemaker or new inventory , invoice system if computer can handle it. need reliable of business info on machine , go home first place of work until 3 next place until 10pm needs portable (the 2015 rmbp 13' me considered portable enough , not mind carrying both locations everyday if need be)

sooooooooo..................

upgrade ram , hard drive on 2011 15; mbp or..................

keep rmb purchased 6 days ago hasn't been slow @ , fulfilling needs (the future of scared me though , if still powerful enough year or 2 down line) or..................

exchange rmb new 13' rmbp 256 gb hard drive , call day.

if 2011 can upgraded @ fair price , work fast enough again wouldn't mind few months.

thank help!!!

ps.

(included 2 photos of 2 macs , apple watch ss s***'s , giggles , show how crazy difference in size haha)

if tl;dr

should

- upgrade 2011 15'mbp 2 ghz intel core i7 4gb ram 500gb sata hard drive new ram , new hard drive can backup whats on , delete, , wait new skylake processors in either new rmb or new rmbp 13'

or - keep rmb purchased upper level specs 1.2ghz 8gb ram 512 pcie hard drive

or - exchange rmb new rmbp 13' 256 hard drive option

uses: 2 business 1 use excel formulas , cosmetic formulations , other use quickbooks inventory , invoices , start use filemaker although ive never used , don't know if computer can run or if needs more power rmb bought 6 days ago.

have 7-8 more days in return or exchange period decide do. love keyboard on rmb , screen , portability 13' rmbp not heavy me , don't mind using it

guys!!!

the fact questioning purchase idea use 15 days , return , take time ti evaluate if want repurchase , keep. drive return isn't long distance.

hdd slowing down. if can away 256gb of storage 256gb ssd cost $90 or less. , transform computer. don't need upgrade ram task described.

possible skylake comes out fall/early winter - think higher percentage change comes in 2016.
