according betts' linkedin page, began working @ apple in july. aside role in "operations," in san francisco bay area, there no details on doing @ company.

betts' linkedin profile suggests made major customer satisfaction improvements , warranty cost reductions during tenure @ chrysler, job duties included quality engineering, field issue problem solving, manufacturing operations, , supplier quality, among other tasks. prior working @ chrysler, betts worked @ nissan, toyota, , michelin.

along betts, the wall street journal suggests apple recruited researcher, paul furgale, specialization in autonomous vehicles join team of employees working on car project. company said seeking out other experts robotics , machine experience, furgale recruiting both students , researchers.
news of apple's car project, code-named "project titan," leaked in february, details on top secret effort remain scarce. apple reportedly has hundreds of employees working on developing electric vehicle , has been recruiting talent automotive industry , other car-related fields, poaching employees companies tesla, ford, , gm. rumors have far disagreed on whether apple focusing on self-driving capabilities vehicle.

rumors have suggested apple aiming produce car 2020, because apple works on projects never make fruition, it's possible car plans shelved or delayed in future if company unhappy progress.
