Clean install every once in a while

i have habit of (every 12 months or so) doing fresh install of os , setting scratch, ensure there's no cruft old apps, old betas, etc. doesn't take me long set again (usually in front of tv), , have solid backup schedule there multiple copies of in case goes wrong.

else this? wasting time, think?

if necessary, when i've problems have reinitialize computer clean install of os , applications saved on time capsule , saving datas ccc on dde.
