Photos pref question re: camera connection

i don't photos, not surprise me, because didn't iphoto, either. of know, default response either app launch upon connection of camera, including ipad. school district has 7000 ipads , we're adding more time, might imagine, there lot of management, config, , repair work done.

iphoto, able open preferences , set default response "open no application" when ipad connected. option in image capture, rather iphoto, there. isn't.

i'm speculating there may command line solution on order of "defaults write" command can use change annoying, disruptive, , useless feature.

know of it?
