How robust does the USB-C socket seem?


ok i'm being paranoid maybe. have ipad air 2 , single lightning connector seems great...

...but, rmb, there seems potential issue in if usb socket wears, goes intermittent, or worse still, fails, might left few hours power (at best) stuff sorted before failure , trip repair facility (and no macbook!)

not being laptop owner (yet!), concern anyone? owners, how solid socket seem?

assume magsafe on traditional laptops better in regard?
 

well, has concerned me since it's similar hdmi plug cable female end , port in male end. going make assumption robust, due apple's testing of there products during r&d phase. think if issue people posting more on youtube , other social media venues.

quite confident in apple making usb-c plug quite robust, due nature of port , how many uses serves.

yes, magsafe seems more robust, in sense magnetic , pretty consists of not plugging anything, rather making contact the pins on charger.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
