there numerous posts, reviews , opinions stylus best ipad , feel have strong idea of pros , cons of each 1 considering. reaching out fellow redditors in hopes of narrowing down one.
background:
- currently have wacom bamboo alpha
- stylus used note taking , pdf markups work , business school
- with current stylus, use notability due audio recording/syncing, ability import pictures , pdfs.
- i own current version of goodnotes , haven't used awhile (wish had audio features notability)
styluses have narrowed down (in no particular order):
wacom fineline
pros:
- bluetooth palm rejection
- button shortcut
- rechargeable
- small tip
cons
- tapping noise
- placement of button
- features not supported in notability
adonit jot script 2
pros
- bluetooth palm rejection
- rechargeable
- small tip
cons
- tapping noise
- features not supported in notability
- no shortcut button
lynktec rechargeable apex
pros
- rechargeable
- will work on app (but relies on apps built in palm rejection, may not good)
- small tip
- no tapping noise
cons
- no built in palm rejection
- no shortcut button
3. thing care fine tip. other features great additions equal in want. palm rejection nice since left handed , write @ weird angle notability , goodnotes both have built in, though not perfect. shortcut button nice save step when needing erase/undo.
tapping noise noticeable in classroom of around 30 students , teacher lecturing? students typing away on laptops.
ideally try each stylus out before buying. best buy allows me return opened box 15 days, buy 1 , if don't return or exchange model.they carry both adonit , wacom not lynktec. prefer go through amazon since have gift cards spend.
however, looking @ prices on amazon(sold amazon):
lynktec : $52
wacom fineline: $50.
$2 less can additional features if can handle tapping noise , not annoy classmates. have amazon gift card use don't know if amazon refund me if hate wacom or tapping noise. additional note, both products $10 cheaper if buy on amazon through 3rd party makes returns tougher , don't know if accept open box returns.
ugh...
please share experiences , thoughts.
i'm still happy 20 dollar bamboo stylus v1. i've tried couple of higher end stylus , still preferred bamboo.
