Finally, a fully-upgraded G5!


hello all! wanted share project i've been working on time now. year or 2 ago, received power mac g5 dual 2.0 free; had bad gpu, 512mb ram, bum superdrive, , beat-up case. started gathering supplies it; scrounged gpu , more ram, , got booting. sat around because machine half gig of ram not fun.

fast forward few weeks ago when person donated g5 tower computer shop work @ recycling. it. was. beautiful. not single scratch, dent, or on case, came original packaging , everything. machine inside dead, case in perfect shape. decked out ton of ram. took home , threw innards of own g5 it, , works champ. while digging around inside, redid drives. have consider personal ultimate powerpc mac!

flawless case

machine runs smoothly! use ssd boot drive, , have 1tb partitioned between time machine , general storage. got new gpu day ago, thing absolutely screaming along! what're ultimate ppc macs?

my best must dual-core 2.0 g5, current project max out ram, upgrade cpu, , put ssd in g4 gigabit ethernet. should make fast machine age, , if goes i'll have mac os x public beta - 10.5.8 installed on eventually.

Find my Friends
