Bluetooth Dead after Sleep

for last week or so, bluetooth break after computer goes standby or sleep. work fine, computer goes standby, when bring up, icon greyed out bluetooth off, can't turn on. choosing "turn bluetooth on" nothing, no matter how many times try it. read elsewhere turning off wifi , turning on might kickstart it, no luck. read devices apostrophe in name or device got corrupted might throw things off, deleted bluetooth devices. have reset smc , pram no improvement. curiously, 1 time computer came sleep , had squiggly line through bluetooth icon , said 'bluetooth not available."

in terminal every time working.

sudo kextunload -b com.apple.iokit.broadcombluetoothhostcontrollerusbtransport

sudo kextload -b com.apple.iokit.broadcombluetoothhostcontrollerusbtransport

after this, bluetooth works until next time sleep. have think software issue since unloading , reloading kernel fixes things temporarily. suggestions before wipe out osx , start fresh?

if manually put computer sleep (going apple symbol in menubar , selecting sleep) issue happen after wake computer?

couple things try:
  • repair permissions in disk utility , reboot.
  • create new user, reboot, login new user , see if issue still happens.
  • boot safe mode (hold shift-key while booting) , see if issue happens. if not happen in safe mode suggests maybe issue being caused third party driver.
