mSATA SSD in 2009 Pro?


i decided replace hdd in ancient trusty 2009 pro. seems i've inadvertently bought msata (crucial mx200 500gb) instead of 2.5 inch ssd. 1 of (minor) attractions apart keen price free cloning software.
online supplier accept return before did thought i'd ask forum if it's worth trying use adapter? , if such adapters readily/cheaply available online?
or easier return it, write off return freight charges experience , start again 2.5" version? (best-value brand?). cheers.
