mods: post intel macbook. understand not fit here, power pc community seems know best on how keep older machines working todays needs, rather tell me upgrade , therefore posting here. thanks

power pc users. frustrated. love apple products amazing how fast apple releases these amazing products , how fast discontinued , no longer supported. own macbook 3,1 (computer in signature) , left in dust after mountain lion released. university student, im trying @ least 3-4 more years out of it. yet im running issues , ive invested machine pass on yet.

first fan speed/temperature. in lion system idle around 60 degrees celsius, im still using snow leopard, , temperature seems vary on websites im on. redid thermal paste last summer , noticed temps drop since apple configuration. scrolling through canadacomputer.com , other content pages temp soars 70-80 degrees celsius making battery drop. purchased new battery last year want next few years out of this. sad part while had mountain lion fans remained @ low pace time. in slow leopard varies time. should redo thermal paste again? or broswer suggest? got rid of flash , helped lot already. im using firefox switch between chrome. facebook , or youtube no go on battery fans fly , ill dead soon.

bootcamp- irritates me. lot. @ store work @ still sell referb off lease systems intel i3's, , late model core 2 duos , run windows 7,8,8.1, 10 absolutely fine! had windows 7 home on system , seemed struggle. have ssd , runs on mechanical drive. told these systems use ide mode in bootcamp, , had trick run 64bit when apple made drivers 32bit. ive upgraded windows 10 , fans vary lot quieter osx. issue here bootcamp drivers messed , wont let me use function keys, , cant change brightness windows control panel battery. other quite nice actually. watch popcorn time full hd fans @ 2000rpm , temp @ 60. want know bootcamp driver disable brightness windows control not driver , can battery life out of windows side. on mac if im in office/web between 4.5-5.5 hours on new battery.

seems machine being bogged down. somethings wrong. have old ibm desktop use , has intel core 2 duo 4300 (2mb cache running @ 1.8ghz) while 1 has core 2 duo 7400 running @ 4mb cache @ 2.2ghz. yet ibm faster in windows 10 system ssd either in windows or osx.


lastly, because have ssd had trim enabled on system. downloaded trimenabler snow leopard ive noticed since update manager crashes. although there no more updates snow, given ilife apple store , want download garageband loops , crashes , freezes on me.

suggestions accepted, need system going. appreciate help. guys can keep decade powerpc machines going figure forum can , did before.
 

have tried smcfan control?
how optimizing firefox (see link tenfourfox in signature)?
rest can't with, i'm not proficient bootcamp or trim.

typing on 2006 17" mbp no issues.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
