Late 2013 21.5 iMac HDD upgrade question


all,

have base late 2013 21.5 imac , stock 5400rpm hdd dog. snagged a great deal on 500gb samsung evo 850 ssd. want throw sucker in there. questions are:

  • what type of 2.5/3.5 conversion kit need? brackets or additional wires?
  • will have problem thermal sensor running fans? see owc sells these 2011 imac no mention of being problem late 2013 models.
  • any additional tools or information need know of?

understand risk , pita tear these apart. ifixit has me covered , i'd doing has done sort of thing before. thought slapping ssd enclosure , running through tb/usb3.0 want clean setup. want convince me otherwise?
 

the spinning hard drive in 21.5 imac 2.5-inch hard drive (laptop size), no 2.5-3.5 adapter needed.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
