Yet another "which machine?" advice seeking thread
you guys have been great giving advice, , have been wavering months between jumping on 15-inch rmbp or waiting see comes down skyline road. i'm not sure when skylake chips suitable 13-inch rmbp rumored/expected.
well, stuck head apple store yesterday, , think i'm preferring 13-inch screen use. upgraded, , use machine @ home in front of tv.
use word work reports few times per month, primary interest email , fastest web surfing known mankind. other "resource intensive" work bulk transferring , backing of usb thumb drives , work transferring photos when uploading iphone's camera. i'm not gamer , don't netflix video streaming. surf youtube though.
so, looking more closely @ 13-inch rmbp, see multiple configurations available. lean toward maxing out ram @ 16gb $200, since think produce bang-for-the-buck results, guys think of options of bumping processor 2.9ghz i5 3.1ghz i7 $200 , storage 512gb 1tb (for $500!)?
if matters any, i've been using same old late-2009 white unibody macbook, upgraded ram , swapped out hdd ssd last year.
taking few moments share advice.
processor bump wouldn't make of difference. flash chips on mbps work in parallel -- higher storage, quicker read/write speeds. faps crosseyed on ridiculous read/write speeds on rmbps, that's i'd heartily recommend. more storage means you've got element of system longevity , won't have worry storage down line. plus you'll able comfortably install bootcamp (if want start doing gaming).
@ rate i'd 512gb minimum storage. 16gb ram definite, again longevity. processor bump won't make difference, you'll hard-pressed max out cpu on models you'd using anyway.
