Anything I can do to make my macbook run better?


i have 13 inch late 2008 macbook works ok, can slow , laggy @ times. takes few clicks before mouse click on trying click on , pinwheel shows minute or two. computer has 2.4 ghz processor , 2 gb of memory. have reinstalled snow leopard , upgraded yosemite. disk utility says hard drive fine. accepted new job need own laptop, necessary me use laptop again or buy new one. don't want ditch current macbook if don't have since in shape , works, slow me daily work on. there can make run use when newer, or have got use out of , time upgrade?

 

if security isn't big of issue, turn off filevault, decrypting , encrypting slow things down, on hard drive.

i'm guessing it's hard drive that's bottleneck. maybe fresh install? still have install discs? maybe new drive lot. take least expensive options first before hardware upgrade, may prefer new machine if know you'll benefit using daily.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
