Google Photos is next generation.

well i'm on board google photos. used in past when buried in google+, didn't using network.

google has set free, i'm back. , must feels next generation, compared apple's offering.

after using apple photos, have say, i'm not sure why ditched iphoto. feels same, , same. other full icloud integration, see facelift. still have manually make albums, tag faces, etc., in iphoto.

google however, feels next generation of photo management. nails faces automatically.

things i'd see added:

1) adding names faces. should able search name, christmas , pull christmas photos person in it. or name 1 + name 2 , pull photos have me , wife in them example.

2) google+ had highlights feature automagically showed best photos have (based on composition algorithm) , hide "lesser" photos. i'm sure coming.

3) snapseed editing. i'm not sure why missing, have basic editing , filters start with. apple photos magic editing change 1 slider , other slides compensate.

4) way print photos, make photo book , slideshows. (edit: slideshows there, in weird place).

5) flashback feature. resurface old photos daily using highlights feature.

6) apple tv support, i'm sure that's long shot.

out of box google feels more robust out of box. it's clean , fast, , of course, understand cloud better apple has ever done on last decade. mulitselect brillant photos files in great number , selecting them 1 one pain in butt. why apple insists , making "tap" when mobile device touched/gesture based platform beyond me. it's don't ever think how more out of touch based device.

think i'll letting google handle family & friend photos, instead of dropbox+carousel method. dropbox forever slow bring new features , functionality app, best solution time. still use flickr solely offsite backup , apple tv screensaver.

i'm feeling same way. using carousel , kept hoping add features google photos has. using gp.

1 word of caution: using non-unlimited option of full size. web uploads downsizing videos.
