The Post-MAMP Blues

developed myself neat little program in javascript, html , css. used free mamp easy development personal server. knew little of "servers", , know little. host hosts me on internet under dot.com name. used free filezilla.app transfer index.html , files , directories.

site looks weird, because included scripts in javascript , css.

seem have run wall of validation issues, or what-not - , here hate think come screech-halt.

how tell host server serve stuff pal, free mamp, has been doing me until now?

develop on macbook pro (10.9).

can move mamp pro me resolve discrepancy of different environments cannot recognize code anymore?

why not use vagrant + virtualbox? both free. create amp environment specification (or duplicate production server specifications). save environment configuration template. can destroy , recreate development environments ad nauseam.

https://www.vagrantup.com/

far javascript issues, of going client side parsed, it's not going server issue (generally speaking). if php, perl, or other cgi code, that's you'd need figure out server running.
