Want to implement my own “cloud” using an iMac with Yosemite as a server. Any help?


hi there,

have imac (late 2009) running yosemite, 1.5 tb of internal storage, , connected das 8 tb of storage. turned on 24/7.

read briefly once owncloud, , thought simple dropbox-kind-of app, using own local hardware instead of 3rd-party servers. however, i've read little bit more, find it's not simple matter of copying app applications folder, sharing files , done.

thing simple: don't want run linux, nor buy additional hardware. still, want mount own cloud can have contents of hard drives accessible anywhere.

recommend me so? give me starting point @ least?

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
