MacBook Pro 13 or MacBook -.-


so gonna start graduate college month end , planning replace 2011 macbook pro 13 ( non-retina 8gb ram ). have ordered imac 5k i7 , m295x can't decide laptop - won't doing intensive on laptop, media consumption still don't want lag after few months! have couple of questions -

1- how fast compared current model? people comparing 2013 air models.

2- can run matlab on it? that's biggest concern cos using matlab extensively - both @ home , classes.

3- how big difference there between base level processor ( 1.1 ) , top end model ( 1.2 )?
 

don't lazy, there tons of threads here answers questions - read around bit, on front page.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
