Resolved MP 4,1 to 5,1 + W3690 + GTX750ti - won't boot after OSX 10.10.5 update

i restarted system apply latest update osx (presumably current 10.10.5, think on 10.10.3).

machine reboots hear chime, see grey apple logo expected (stock video card connected check progress) progress bar, gets halfway, multilingual error message appears split second (no time read it), screen goes black , whole cycle repeats ad infinitum. something's not right.
  • i powered cycled pram reset , difference made error message didn't appear anymore, otherwise boot fails in same fashion.
  • i tried [cmd-r] boot recovery partition, had no effect (failed boot cycle before).
  • i tried [opt] booting check recovery partition there (which was, showing 10.10.3 recovery volume). however, selecting results in exact same cycle before.
  • i tried [shift] booting safe mode, had no effect.
i'm downloading yosemite app store on laptop try make external recovery volume, hope works.

question this:

of unsupported upgrades (5,1 flash, cpu, gpu) causing in way? working before.

mac pro 4,1 5,1 (single cpu)
w3690
gtx 750ti (normally use nvidia drivers, pram reset presumably wipes out)

the 1st thing try remove 750ti. cpu not problem, machine apply 5,1 flash w3690 , 10.10.5, that's not root cause.
