MacBook Air Hard drive Replacement


my macbook air 2008 (a1304) hard drive had given up, purchased exact same hard drive come standard - samsung hs12uhe/a.

believe had put new hd in how took existing out, having problems boot. when started, mba comes flashing folder ? in middle. turned off, , started again holding down 'option' , comes wifi section (i believe hard drives suppose come mba recognises).

thinking have not connected hd correctly - have included photos. if has clues doing incorrectly, or have had similar problems, please me out!

have included photos of how have connected up.

sounds haven't installed os x on hard drive yet. flashing folder means can't find boot means there no os on drive. did version of air come os x on usb thumb drive? if so, use reinstall os x.

otherwise, model supports internet recovery.
