Couple 2009 Mac Pro questions


hola folks!

have couple question regarding picking 2009 mac pro.

1. besides taking chances ebay (or craigslist), have recommendation of used mac dealers? powermax, mac of trades , etc?

2. source cheap, quality ram these machines? think buy 6 sticks of 8gb 1333 mhz ram since intend buy dual processor machine , upgrade dual 6 cores.

3. recommendation video card use final cut pro x? take advantage of of gpu functions of new cards? don't care gaming performance per say. if can play game, that's cool. not sticking point.



plan buy delidded x5680 or x5690 cpus upgrade know that's best route go 2009 dual cpu machine. reason buying because got pretty heavy fcpx editing , late 2012 i7 imac doesn't have enough ooomph me. figure 12 core box decent video card should wonders. plus lots of local storage.

1. i've heard things mac of trades, used ebay mine. cheaper , have kinds of policies favor buyer if goes wrong.

3. video card 1 of biggest sticking points 2009 mp. wanting mac card boot screen support? if doesn't matter, gtx 980 or ti best performance bets outside of crazy priced titan. can efi version macvidcards.com if want boot screen support, although cost extra.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
