Mac Pro 1,1 need help


so bought not functional mac pro 1,1 @ $50 try revive fun. did not came gpu, , had constant white light while turned on. no chime.
when press diag button, trickle , efi gd lights not gpu.
wondering if put unsupported gpu, hd 5450, working mac have image displayed or have gpu light on?
when took apart clean, found out heat sink compound under mch heat sink has dried up.
due long term usage mch have been overheated , died?
or has encountered similar problem before?
 

get copy of sevice manual (scribd or tim.id.au) , start troubleshooting. there many possibilites of dead parts inside computer. ensure replacement ones 100% confirmed working (and compatible, e.g quad rank memory won't work in 1,1 - 3,1).
iirc gpu present diode light efi card.
5450 isn't choice because won't work in os x without editing amd drivers.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
