More life for MacPro early 2008

i'm trying squeak couple more years out of 2008 macpro.

know it's not going have best performance (i.e. sata 3 sata 3 drive) i'm assuming work , improvement clean install of yosemite?

if can afford it, might experience better performance doing did on 3,1:

bought sonnet tempo pro pcie card , 2 480gb ssd's , set them raid0 boot drive , applications.

alone cut startup time around 1.5 minutes under 30 seconds. system responds quicker , applications snappy.

not sure, don't think you'll big speed boost ssds in drive bays in pcie lane. others may have better info on this, that's recall when looking issue.
