How Do I Extend the Range of my WiFi Network?

i have time warner cable, hate because it's slow... issue today how modem , wifi router located on 1 side of house , main bedroom on other side of house. it's belkin 54g router , considering swapping airport express.

or perhaps thinking of extending wifi network told me i'll need long ethernet cable connect belkin 54g wifi router other wifi router (aex) located near master bedroom. true?

thought 2nd wifi router extend reach of 1st connecting them each other. if so, how go this?

if indeed still on old 'g' router, best bet first buy new router multiple antennae , see if fixes problem. easiest choice. if not fix it, yes, routers can joined in called bridge mode extend network wireless, it's not great solution, bridging halves bandwidth remote device can carry. may or may not matter depending on needs, , speeds able connect at.
