iMac Blu-ray Drive!

i bought samsung se-506cb off amazon according literature should compatible osx 10.4.6+ (i'm running 10.10.3 on late 2014 imac).

drive can't seen under system information or finder. drive powering (usb) , looks reading disks device can't seen mac (i've tried bluray, dvd, install software disk etc).

i've spoken amazon organising return , refund. according net should simple plug , play somethings not right (no problems apple superdrive).

i'm still after bluray drive, can recommend 1 mac? ideally i'm after 1 compatible osx lol.

that's strange. had same model , worked fine. biggest let-down me drive resonates (vibrations) if you're not carefull falls off table. makes lot of noise.

switched lg. big robust box (more 3.5" internal burner instead of slim line) , sits rock solid on desk. it's more quiet samsung drive.

lg model lg be14nu40. it's bit more expensive though , needs own power supply.
