iMac Headphones Port Dead


hi,

i've had intermittent problems headphone port since i've had imac 27" late 2013 today headphone port seems have bitten dust. internal speakers fine, whenever plug in headphones or stereo via 3.5mm jack, once sound occurs within os x (music, notification noise, etc.) produces loud, constant buzz. no audio whatsoever. after perhaps 30 seconds-2 minutes, sound stop.

has got idea hell happening? have got faulty headphone port?
 

(i have reset pram, tried resetting audio in terminal, tested couple of different peripherals in port; no luck)

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
