First Impressions (42mm Sport)

let me out of way: hell app launcher!

opening box, noticed thing small. small. of course, had seen videos, looked @ photos posted of people , watches, man blown away how compact thing was. lifting out of box, shocked how heavy was. not feather-light sport model expecting. had been heavily debating whether or not should have gotten ss version, man glad didn't. love of aluminum, , caught quite few glances today. let me reiterate--this thing dense.

elected skip personal setup session , didn't have watch sync apps @ first. first impressions of actual use thing complicated. , i'm 21 year old kid more devices can count. struggled thing. decided go through watch app item-by-item , explore , set every option liking. items seemed unnecessarily complicated , others questionably basic. whatever, it'll make more sense later, i'm sure.

got grueling process of organizing app layout. hell thing. hate it. let me place damn apps want. kind of gave , resolved later. $10 whoever organizes apps me. while i'm on topic, i'm pretty sure apple includes many apps give illusion has sorts of capabilities , functions @ first glance of consumer.

haptic engine pretty neat, i've gotta say. had turn sensitivity medium, highest level felt arm being hit hammer. private tap, , love how can choose select few notifications allowed alert me, know should choose interrupt view notification, stupid sending me sticker on fb messenger.
find incredibly awkward use device, though. can tell i'm going appreciate watch use in being notification sieve, phone stay nearby time being. maybe i'll used holding arm awkwardly.

other random observations -

-i still chuckle there 4 "time" apps icons pretty same. 1 app swipes left-right, apple. come on.

-force touch works well, it's breakthrough ui/ux, sure.

-the infuriating thing i've found can't zoom out watch face on wrist raise. it's kind of hard/fiddly hit crown button solidly. don't care sun 3 hours now; take me app screen. flick of crown easier accomplish press.

closing first thought, taking bands off , holding watch in hands first time incredible moment. not larger quarter capable of being incredibly capable communications device. we've come long way since 2007. and, yes, installed screen protector :)
