Mac Pro 5,1 RAM question


i have mac pro 5,1 2.8 single 16gb (4x4gb).

got great price on 16gb stick wasn't playing nice other memory. after doing research, guess got 16gb rdimm , other memory udimms. cheap way of upgrading 28gb.

so, keep 1 stick of 16gb , sell 4x4gb? there's part of me that's afraid rdimms harder come , if buy more rdimms, still won't play nice together.

also, how can tell if it's rdimm or udimm if has heatspreader covering it?
 

all 16 gb sticks rdimms - don't think find udimm 16gb
can't mix udimm , rdimm
other info here, other choices.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
