Unlock my ATT iphone 6+ and move to T-mobile?
hi all,
need suggestions.
have 2 lines at&t next program. 1 iphone 6+ , other 1 iphone 5s. owe at&t balance money of $550 (iphone 6+) , $325 (iphone 5s). monthly total bills $167.
have work related travel europe , staying in touch data access & few calls important me. t-mobile's free international data roaming & wifi calling work out cheaper me compared at&t expensive. called at&t travel plans , would'nt unlock device without paying off next dues & have no option.
i'm thinking of paying-off at&t dues & move 2 lines t-mobile brother's account cheapest. pay less $50 2 lines since has 5 lines.
questions:
if unlock phone at&t , work on t-mobile network including 4g lte data ?
there better way make switch t-mobile? know etf payment options too. since im at&t next, t mobile require buy phone them , return iphone 6+&5s. hence decided go t-mobile sim card & use it.

yes at&t phone work on t-mobile network , have 4g lte data. however, believe t-mobile uses additional band lte iphone not support. doesn't mean won't 4g lte data, means might not it/won't strong in places t-mobile uses unsupported band. hopefully, more knowledge on can clarify because not 100% sure of negatives of iphone not supporting additional band. have unlocked at&t iphone 6+ , used 30 days tmobile sim test out service (south florida area). can confirm work , 4g lte data.
in terms of phone, seems since have 6 already, there's no reason turn tmobile buy one. keep 6. not sure 5s tho maybe it's time have tmobile pay off phone , upgrade 6 or 6+.
