USPTO Invalidates One of Apple's iPhone Design Patents in Apple vs. Samsung Lawsuit

foss patents reported tonight central reexamination division of united states patent , trademark office has reexamined 1 of key iphone design patents in apple vs. samsung lawsuit. validity of 1 of patents (618,677) has received non-final rejection:
apple awarded over $1 billion original lawsuit, amount has been reduced substantially $548 million in damages. aside particular design patent, apple still has other claims have not been reduced or invalidated previous decision.

samsung most recently denied latest appeal attempt, leaving them option of turning u.s. supreme court. appears invalidation has no direct impact on current standing of lawsuit, may samsung in appeal supreme court.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
