How do the guys at the Genius Bar check our MacBooks' hardware?


hello,

time ago brought mid-2014 13" mbp apple store repair, , saw guy @ genius bar check hardware holding key (combination) @ startup of machine. thinking apple diagnostics (or apple hardware test older macbooks). when tried start machine apple diagnostics (by holding d key), realized not same (the interface not same).

checked start keyboard combinations here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/ht201255 seems none of them has function.

have idea that? (would useful buy second-hand machines :d)

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
