Hardware probs with 2010 Macbook 2.4 GHz


so had been experiencing kernel panics extremely on macbook pro, , after trouble shooting myself decided take apple store , check in more in depth testing. next day, called me , notified me hard drive failing , cost $160 fix. decided instead pick , surgery myself (i consider myself pretty tech savvy person). took opportunity upgrade ram 4gb 8gb. after replacing both hard drive , ram, have been experiencing many problems remember. exact list of events in past 36 hours follows:
1. used time machine entire system on 500 gb external hard drive. (format of ext mac os extended (journaled)
2. replaced hard drive , ram these 2 products using instructions ifixit.com (https://www.ifixit.com/device/macbook_pro_13"_unibody_mid_2010):

3. while replaced parts, kept myself grounded static shock not ruin components of install.
4. after replaced parts, booted macbook blue screen folder sign question mark.
5. plugged in external hard drive used previous hard drive, , prompted me standard startup (apple logo w/ loading bar) , took me os x utilities.
6. selected "disk utility" selected new internal hard drive, formatted mac os extended (journaled) under "erase" tab, , pressed "erase".
7. went in os x utility , selected "restore time machine backup" selected external hard drive up, selected new internal hard drive restoring drive, , started restoring process.
8. after hour , half, restoration complete , macbook restarted.
9. after restarting, screen light blue 30 minutes decided turn off because fan running extremely high.
10. decided unplug external hard drive , turn on. went blue screen 10 minutes , fan working hard turned off.
11. plugged external in , tried turning on. after pressing power button, down "option" key. supposedly prompts screen select start disk. instead, screen stayed black , beeped 5-7 times before held power button shut up.
12. left hard drive plugged in , turned on without hot keys. turned on , got far home screen. ejected external hard drive , 15 seconds later screen went weird , went black. decided shut off , come here on different computer elaborate on problem.
if had guess, i'd one, or both, of products bought messed up, don't wanna invest in more hardware until know sure. on customer reviews both products purchased, there complaints these not working 2010 macbook pros. however, every 1 person complaining there's 10 thanking product how it's working. hard drive received hitachi brand. if have ideas on wrong or need more info situation feel free respond. need help. running os x maverick
 

your ram bad. that'd explain no booting.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
