Upgrade Mac Mini HDD and SSD (ordered as fusion drive)?


hello everyone, have late 2012 bto mac mini 2.6ghz i7 (quad) 1tb fusion drive option. i'm thinking upgrading both hard drives crucial mx200 500gb ssd , hgst 7200rpm 1tb hdd. compatible? has upgraded fusion drive'd mac mini before? see improvement in 7200rpm drive? use load samples , vsts (audio work). tips on upgrade? know have "separate fusion drive" before doing this, however, time have manipulated hardware when upgraded ram 16gb.

you separate drives via software command. far know, drives can fused. this article mentions fusing couple of thumb drives.

unhappy current performance? don't think you'll notice gains, going 5400 hdd volume 7200 hdd volume.

you're going lose trim support using non-apple ssd.

if want uber-disk drive response, 2014 fusion drive mac mini or take out second mortgage , grab 15" mbp. drives ridiculous! 1300/1100 read/write!

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
