Salvage a 2006 MacBook?


hello everyone,

found 2006 macbook, ready thrown away.
in bad shape: plastic scratched, top case has cracks everywhere , hastily removed hard drive, screws step 5 step 10 of ifixit guide (even ones not circled) missing. battery dead.
points screen looks , power adapter new.

when connect power adapter, orange few seconds green, nothing happens when press power button.
disassembled , cleaned nothing happens: no sound, fans don't spin. checked voltage on motherboard , correct, it's not magsafe connector problem.

believe motherboard dead, , found used 1 (but working) on ebay $25, think it's worth it?
possible macbook power on without hard disk, or there combination keys can try?

sounds need spend little investigate. motherboard , drive?
or, motherboard , external boot. in end, recover if spend money , decide it's not worth it? use device if make work, , for.

if spirit of "fix" strong, means go. nothing better recovering
dead device. had few moments friend other night. dismantling dropped makita flashlight (powered 3 volt batteries used in cordless tools) , spirit of moment fun, fruitless.

still, there victories had

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
