SSD will not boot in HD bay, but will over USB


it boot on usb whenever put external bay.

file system check exit code 8.

happens when try repair on disk utility on computer - through recovery partition, tries , repairs successfully. drive appears read (or won't mount) , says "problems found partition map may prevent booting."
 

be sure (if running el capitan) repair on system running el capitan. (not booted mavericks, example.) disk repair running on different system version may report incorrect response.

if can boot external usb, not in internal bus, may have bad internal sata cable. have read working hard drive, not ssd - knows technical reason that! but, replacing sata cable should fix issue.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
