Mac Mini - GoPro Help

hello,

looking @ buying mac mini editing of gopro videos , photos. it's specs are:

processor
3.0ghz dual-core intel core i7 processor (turbo boost 3.5ghz) 4mb on-chip shared l3 cache

memory
8gb of 1600mhz lpddr3 memory

storage
1tb (5400-rpm) hard drive1

graphics
intel iris graphics

, wondering if mac mini able play 720p 240fps videos , 2.7k 60fps?

guys!

first off, don't bother i7. i5s , i7 in mini both dual core, , i7 5% more powerful 2.6ghz i5 @ best.

second, it's going extremely slow, because of 5400rpm hdd. if want fast, must go @ least fusion drive upgrade or 256gb (i'd go latter).

5400rpm hdd, apps open (10+ bounces in dock , slow boot times), while fusion drive or 256gb ssd, boot times within 11 seconds, , apps launch instantly.

intel's naming convention between mobile , desktop skus confusing uninitiated. long story short, both i5s , i7s in mac mini have hyperthreading (2 cores , 4 threads), there no advantage in buying i7 other being able show off can spend money on worthless upgrade.

between desktop ones, however, difference large, quad core desktop i5s lack hyperthreading, while desktop quad core i7s have hyperthreading (4 cores , 8 threads).

i7 upgrade makes sense if it's quad core hyperthreading. means happens imacs.
