iWork '09 and the new Macbook


hello all,

i'm considering getting new macbook though largely need work while traveling , important documents iwork '09. tragedy has been iwork suite "update" makes newer versions unusable me. purchased cd, moved .pkg file thumb drive, install on mavericks, 9.3 update , good. after installing on home laptop (with mavericks), updated yosemite , still works, on work computer tried installing on yosemite , never worked, bumped down mavericks , viola, works. considering new mackbook ships yosemite, have couple options , questions:

1) possible install mavericks on new macbook?
2) has been able install iwork '09 on yosemite (i.e. not upgrading mavericks)?
3) has checked compatibility of iwork '09 on el capitan? either installing directly or updating yosemite?

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
