Macbook 2015 mini review

i have macbook pro 2011 , carry me during commutes can work on side projects. wanted lighter walk 1.5mi work , it's 5.5lbs. feel in love 2015 macbook because it's ultra light , has great screen. received may 13th , have been using week now. here of thoughts.

use-case
i'm using web development. here list of programs i'm using. of these running @ same time. think of device ipad keyboard running osx.

• firefox
• safari
• tower
• evernote
• navicat
• paws

pros

• the battery run day no problem.
• the screen beautiful.
• it weights nothing. 2.03lbs.
• the speakers good. comparable pro.
• the trackpad wonderful. has great palm detection , if didn't tell me fakes clicks wouldn't know.
• it starts fast.

mixed

• the keyboard took adjustment. after hour or of use fine.

cons

• you give lot of ports. wasn't big deal because i'm plugging devices this. it's secondary device me.
• it's not power house. it's great crunching text. wouldn't try , run lot of vms on this.
• the screen small. i'm used 15". i've gotten used smaller screen full screen apps.

i've read few buyers remorse posts , concerned regret purchase. hasn't been case me. love it. wish screen 1" bigger still gets job done.

 

super quick review.

question: when 12 secondary device, mean you're keeping 15? if so, why?

i've been single laptop guy (mid 2014 mba 11"), seems work me. complex thing powerpoint, use bigger screen. based on listed apps, sounds you're not doing heavy duty crunching, wondering why make 12 secondary laptop.
