Photos App - Disorganized Albums and All Photos...

so in albums section, former iphoto events there, out of form of logical order (date, name, etc). iphoto had nicely done organized date whether newest top or bottom, worked nice.

in albums tab - photos...well thats biggest mess i've ever seen. in aperture , iphoto displayed date or name, can see no way of organizing photos date or title or there either...

ideas?

inquiry...how know high-resolution photos being imported?

you have 1 sort option albums: in sidebar, right-click/control-click on albums heading, album, or folder - you'll have sort name option. sort folders , albums @ level, not change sort order of nested folders. it's worth, when sort name not selected, things organized in aperture library.

sorting images within photos... it's worth, photos is sorted date. how opened after converting aperture library.

view menu has "keep sorted date/keep sorted date added." when i'm viewing photos, option checked , grayed-out. however, sake of experiment, have been able select when first open photos (before images render), , alternate sort order between date added , 'totally jumbled' (i haven't figured out why they're totally jumbled). however, regardless of way it's sorted, keep sorted date added still has check-mark.

clarify, sort name changes sort order of folders , albums in sidebar, keep sorted date changes sort order of images within album.

i'd consider of fall category of bug.

whether high-resolution version being imported? open info window (window drop-down menu > info or command + i). you'll see image dimensions in pixels (eg. 3456 x 4608), file size, , file type.
