Should I wait until Skylake chipset or purchase now?

i have 2007 mac pro use everyday useage. main work on computer (use because it's dinosaur)is photo & video editing. have done research , have come down choosing imac 27" retina 4.0 mgz, 8gig (to upgraded 32gig) after purchase, 512ssd, 295x graphics card , track pad. plan on purchasing combo sshd 2tb, blu-ray,dvd burner, sdxc card reader usb hub unit. hold photo , video work.
first question- 512ssd big enough internal hd everyday useage?- internet, email
have researched upcoming chipset , don't have expertise in area make informed decision if should wait them or go ahead , purchase. don't know if skylake improved on broadwell in performance justify expense , time needed wait release of skylake.
second question- should wait or not?
advice/suggestions/beliefs on how or manner progress appreciated.

thank

forget broadwell we're going see 2 mainstream desktop cpu's contain igpu, unless apple decided want drop dedicated graphic cards imac line not getting broadwell imac's.

skylake @ point has turned out bit of disappointment leaked benchmarks, sure it's increase on haswell ~10-15% real world performance, 6 months ago lot more expected of skylake, blame lack of market competition one. interesting whether apple go 95w, 65w or 35w parts, skylake offers interesting low wattage options reducing thermals whilst still offering turboboost clocks , 4cores/8threads, i7 6700t looks interesting.

@ point if have working machine may wait imac refresh @ guess around sept/oct year, if you're desperate upgrade haswell see number of years.
