hello ,
don't know do, i'll try explain problem :
love mobility !
managed work 11-inch macbook air (keyboard + mouse) , external display, learning , start webdesign.
begin have advanced level , lot of customers, felt problems: among other screen size: 11 inch on travel small !!!!! , slight lack of performance when start wanting advanced design (especially lots of browser open tabs , software simultaneously mamp, affinity designer, affinity photo, sketch etc ...)
had big crush on new retina macbook, 12 inches gives me little more screen comfort on move (retina + 12 inches) , lack of ports not bother me. performance, lag when open lots of browser tabs , other software. (and want learn swift therefore xcode, , i've heard compile time take me time each change).
thought these configurations:
- rmacbook + mac mini (with portability , el capitan tell myself maybe catch hang of performance + xcode server)
- rmacbook + 5k imac (portability + lot of performance in office makes me work comfortably @ 1 place)
- retina macbook pro (slightly less portability more power , similar comfort wherever go)
, article affect me lot :

think ? can give me feedback if had asked question before ?
(sorry poor english, understand english bad @ writing, i'm french)
15" rmbp, 16gb ram, 2.5 (or faster) i7/qc plus external display(s), 27" or maybe dual 24" (i prefer 2 smaller vs. 1 larger), kb, tp or mouse - possibly simplified docking option hengedock.
plenty of performance dev work (including vms, multiple concurrent servers/services), photo/design work, portable, beautiful display combined efficiency of "desktop" setup. no need replicate work, setups, configs across multiple machines - , [extra] storage, can run external drive on dock (for project archives, etc.)
