Macbook Pro won't read camera card

hi all,

have macbook pro 2011, 13" display, 2.7ghz, 16gb ram, running on yosemite 10.10.5, , whatever reason not able read scandisk card on dlsr camera (the camera nikon d600 , memory card scandisk ultra plus 32gb).

have tried both using built-in card reader , connecting mini-usb cord macbook camera, , neither method works. nothing shows whatsoever, when go disk utility states nothing connected. when trying on other macs, works - card readable , iphoto opens instantly. problem must macbook.

i've spent quite bit of time going through forums looking solutions , have tried under sun... restarted mac, updated yosemite, etc... no idea @ point, desperately hoping out there has solution.

in advance,

adam

your 2011 13" mbp built in card reader sdxc card slot , not read sdhc card (your 32gb sandisk card). had same problem late 2011 mbp 15". ended getting external usb card reader capable of reading sdhc cards , worked great. reason direct connecting camera did not work either, preferred not connecting camera anyway external card reader better option.
