Installing OS X Updates: Does Order Matter?

after apparent hard drive failure necessitated replacement, have performed clean install of snow leopard on 2010 mbp. i'm doing in preparation (finally) updating yosemite. so, have perform sl updates, , i'm curious how important order install them is. if recall correctly, first have 2 updates listed, after installed, there 6 or 7 further updates. order appear in isn't alphabetical, preferred order, or order not matter? also, better install each 1 individually, or doing them @ once better?

install sl
run software update, let listed updates install, , mbpro restart.
run software update after restart. let listed updates install. rinse, lather, repeat :d
that's pretty it.
order taken care of software update.
can each update, 1 @ time, absolutely makes no difference in end - except situation want avoid updating individual apple app, itunes - choice, , order of installation isn't affected anyway. (issues might mean not updating itunes not relevant longer, except tiny subset of users - mentioned itunes example)
so, answer question - sequence of installs makes no difference whatsoever. better let updates install when listed.
and, on chance have downloaded yosemite installer, , have prepared bootable yosemite installer, don't need "install sl/update/update task" anyway. boot yosemite installer, , move past sl.
