Apple watch 38 vs 42 mm battery experience

hello everyone!

thought report in , tell guys experiences having moved 38 mm apple watch 42 mm one, particularly in terms of battery life.

wore 38 mm watch, space gray sport watch, 1 week, charging every night. found through daily use (checking texts, answering few phone calls, checking email, general fooling around) if took watch off of charger @ 8 in morning, battery down 30% 430 afternoon. if tried include exercise, battery surely die. running latest firmware, , experienced daily, without changing habits watch.

few days ago, once watches hit apple store, sold 38 mm on kijiji , headed out same watching 42 mm size. surprise , delight, battery life has improved. had read online battery life 42 mm version going better, how couldn't picture, know.

taking watch off charger @ 8 am, can through full days heavy use, including half-hour workout, checking frequently, lots of fooling around, taking , making phone calls, sending lots of texts , asking siri sorts of things day. yesterday @ 2am, after long day (19 hours), watch down 20 percent when put on charger. im happy this, 38mm have pop on charger make bar night.

attribute this larger battery, , while people argue larger screen negates advantages of larger battery, think larger battery has significant impact! though screen bigger, lot of ui elements bigger, , doesn't amoled light pixels needs? think allows have bigger display, without using more power, , having more space display few pixels needs in order convey information.

in all, changed phone habits , i'm happy gen 1 of watch!

- 205 mah, 0.75 wh in 38, there seems nothing in terms of "official" info on battery in 42.

wikipedia says:

built-in rechargable li-po battery
38mm
3.8 v 0.78 w·h (205 ma·h)[8]

42mm
3.78 v 0.93 w·h (246ma·h)[citation needed]

can't find other reference "citation needed" 42 info posted there. extrapolated other information showing ~30% greater battery life in 42 other sources, until 42 tear down, it's speculation.

considering put watch on @ 0600 today , it's @ 72% @ 20:17 - , ever below 30% no matter how i've used on course of typical 18 hour days- i'm not sure matters anyway!
