Advice requested - rMB or rMBP13

hello,

i'm considering purchase of rmacbook specific needs.

need macbook personal use. primary usage be:

1. processing 21 megapixel dslr raw images using lightroom (i have huge backlog , want go through approximately 500 pictures per day, of may end processing 50-70 photos , exporting jpeg)

clarification: need 'browse' through around 500 raw photos per day. of these, select around 50-60 photos processing , exporting jpeg. once i'm through backlog, i'll process around 200 photos per week.

2. writing daily journal / travel experience (on note, i'd appreciate recommendation on macbook apps)

3. web surfing

4. occasional movie watching

5. infrequently playing lightweight games

have 3 year old i7 toshiba laptop slow lightroom 4. barely use except watching movies. i'm considering adobe cc subscription.

clarification: reason don't use laptop because it's heavy , large. 1 of key reasons considering rmb is thin , light , so, i'll use , not continue add backlog.

i sit on sofa , process pictures while watching tv or surfing web. way of un-winding after hard day of work. digress.

have ipad mini 2 absolutely love , use web surfing, occasional youtube videos, , lightweight gaming apps.

oh, , 1 last thing, i'm expecting significant amount of travel (for work , recreation) next year or so, starting shortly. , so, imac or mbp 15 impractical purposes.

based on above recommend own experiences?

in advance replies.

everything except processing fair quantity of high resolution raw files within rmbs sweet spot.

i've seen few comments on batch processing high res raw's indicate owners not happy rmb doing this. individual files in small quantities doable require patience (i shoot 21mp raws not in anywhere near quantities indicating). larger quantities or batch processing larger quantities can tax rmb , extend processing times considerably not rmbs sweet spot. better off 13" rmbp (and can load faster processor, faster graohics, more memory , more , faster ssd space too).

2 cents worth
