How do you manage all your media?


i struggling big time putting "best practice" managing photos , music. primary home laptop macbook air , storage space precious.

right now, photos poorly dumped 1 folder on home nas. becomes problem because photos useless in reading them. due having multiple computers on years, different libraries got blended , on place. it's mess. since files aren't on local computer, photos can't me.

music on nas. itunes plays little more nicely external folder files still seems every few months wants forget folder there.

in essence, i've relied on cloud storage , physical files absolute nightmare. how handle managing media, using macbook limited storage?
 

i have base 11" air (with 128gb drive).

photos stored in dropbox in year/month/ system. using selective sync, have current year's , previous year's photos synced air (so 2014 & 2015). else available via website , carousel app.

music, have small library keep (about 500 songs, 10gb) on air. complete library on windows desktop , shared using home sharing.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
