iPhone 6 survives tide-pool submersion

my girlfriend dropped iphone 6 tide-pool, remained underneath couple of inches of saltwater @ least 5 minutes, half buried in sand. came hotel room, crying. said, what's wrong? , told me sad tale of how fell out of jacket pocket , took 5 or 10 frantic minutes find once realized missing. asked hand me, , when did cleaned out sand lightning port , headphone jack gum go-between (a sort of cross between dental floss , toothbrush, piece of wire on handle tiny bristles). shook no water came out.

connected laptop , downloaded pix, , backed device. began charging battery. tested functions. there not drop of water under screen or in camera. touchid sensor works still. makes calls. receives texts. plays vain glory. few days later, still, no problems @ all.

read on ifixit's teardown iphone 6 has gaskets around buttons. had no idea waterproof, strange don't advertise fact. of course enemies slathering @ bit next "-gate" bring apple down with, i'm not surprised kept quiet. mean if said classification of waterproof, surely, youtube one-hit-wonder make video "prove" leaks, or cast doubt upon how waterproof is, or show how more waterproof samsung's 1 is, or claim apple copied samsung on waterproofing… etc. …

know is, iphone 6 survived trip ocean , sand. i'm pretty amazed.

give more time before call surviving ocean , sand iphone :d
doubt stay alive long.
