Replacing 17" Macbook Pro 500GB HD To 2TB HD Woes.


i have mid-2009 macbook pro 17" 500gb, , trying replace hd larger 2tb hd. main reason doing so have more room projects, , able upgrade yosemite. right hd not have enough room upgrade.

so, bought 2.5" 2tb hd, , having difficulties trying make new hd startup disc, can boot it. have looked how "install new hd on macbook pro" on youtube, videos show how physically install hardware. can't find info on how load os onto new hd can boot after install internally. i've tried timemachine way well. did put files on it, still can't boot it.

seems should easy thing do, can't seem figure out. missing here? out there can me? please do! thank in advance!

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
