Thinking about buying my friends old Macbook Pro?


ok, friend has 2009 macbook pro 2.26 core 2 duo 250gb 4gb ram.

slow , purchasing new 15" macbook pro retina (base).

have 15" retina 2.8ghz i7 quadcore 1tb ssd (top of end of late 2014 model). problem laptop on $3,000 after taxes. have laptop hooked monitor , use desktop. use macbook pro gaming. friend sell laptop $200 (or maybe $150).

told can reinstall see if goes faster wants new laptop. go college , paranoid macbook pro love have beater laptop bring school , school work on (but defeats macbook pro retina's use!).

should buy hers , reinstall , replace battery , use , sell 15" , buy imac cheaper , have bit better specs?

idea?
 

stick ssd in , should general school work.
oem drive 5400 rpm unit.
drive may dying make perform slower.

if functions $150 in shoes , $200 frankly not bad.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
